En mi recopilatorio de Lawrence Tibbet aparece esta especie de Lied del que no tengo absolutamente ninguna referencia. Parece estar pasando algo realmente horrible, y me gustaría saber qué demonios dicen. Si alguien fuera tan gentil de iluminarme...

Tras investigar algo, deduzco que el compositor puede ser Karl Loewe, o Carl Loewe, o Karl Löwe según cómo les parezca escribirlo (Johann Karl Gottfried Loewe, 1796-1869), y el lied en cuestión sale en el disco "Lawrence Tibbett: Dear Rogue" del sello Pearl.

El hecho de que llamaran a voces a Edward cuando la canción se titula en el disco "Arthur" me producía unos gases incomodísimos...

Hay muchos lieder basados en baladas que narran hechos muy trágicos. Fue una moda en el romanticismo. Las baladas románticas solían tener argumentos sobrenaturales e, incluso, espantosos.

El otro día estábamos en mi centro de trabajo hablando de la posibilidad de realizar una jornadilla sobre la reforma laboral y de seguridad social que se avecina (echaos a temblar los que creáis que tenéis cerca la jubilación). Y claro, de tanto de hablar de hacer algo "sobre la reforma", Monseñor ya se estaba imaginando a un primer conferenciante disparatando sobre Lutero... Lo que me iba a reir yo.
