Otra de mal tiempo. Ahora que ha vuelto el invierno. Pero propone remedio.... Elisabeth Schwarzkopf.
Winterweihe
Was milde Glut entzündet, Soll brennen fort und fort, Was Seelen zart verbündet, Und Geisterbrücken gründet, Sei unser leises Losungswort.

O Menschenkind! halte treulich Schritt! Die Kön'ge wandern, o wandre mit! Der Stern der Liebe, der Gnade Stern Erhelle dein Ziel, so du suchst den Herrn, Und fehlen Weihrauch, Myrrhen und Gold, Schenke dein Herz dem Knäblein hold!
The Kings
Three kings are traveling from the East; a small star leads them to Jordan. In Judea they ask and search, these three, where the new-born king is. They wish to bring incense, myrrh and gold as an offering to the child.
And the light of the star shines brightly: the kings go into the stall; gazing with wonder at the child, the kings bow low in worship. They bring incense, myrrh and gold as an offering to the sweet baby boy.
O Sons of Man! keep faith! The kings are journeying - travel with them! The star of love, the star of grace shine on your goal as you seek the Lord, and if you lack incense, myrrh and gold, give instead your heart to that sweet baby boy!

Dark, how dark it is in the forest and field! Night has fallen; the world now is silent. Nowhere a light and nowhere smoke. Yes, now even the lark is silent.
From yonder village there comes the young lad, Taking his beloved home. He leads her past the willow bushes, Talking so much, and of so many things:
"If you suffer shame and if you grieve, If you suffer disgrace before others because of me, Then our love shall be ended ever so fast As fast as we once came together; It shall go with the rain and go with the wind, As fast as we once came together."
Then says the maiden, the maiden says: "Our love shall never end! Steel is firm and iron is firm, Yet our love is firmer still.
Iron and steel can be recast by the smith But who would transform our love? Iron and steel can melt; Our love, our love will have to last forever!"
You small box, that I carried while fleeing, so that I wouldn’t break my lamps against myself, providing -- from house to ship, from ship to train -- a way that my enemies would speak further to me at my shelter and to that of my pain last thing at night, first thing in the morning about their providence and about my efforts. Promise me that you won’t go mute all at once.
